How Does This Work?
Fractional laser technology uses focused microbeams to create columns of small micro-injuries. This stimulates your skin’s natural healing process and new collagen is created. Scars and stretch marks will become smaller and less visible as the new collagen builds smooth, youthful skin. This treatment is great for all types of scars and stretch marks, including: icepick scars, boxed scars, rolling scars, hypertrophic scars, and some keloid scars.
What Can I Expect?
We start your treatment by numbing your skin with a topical anesthetic—this keeps you comfortable throughout the treatment. Lasting only 30-40 minutes, the fractional laser will then remove the outermost layers of your damaged skin (aka the scars and/or stretch marks) improving your skin’s texture. You’ll feel a warm sensation during the treatment, but this isn’t uncomfortable.
Does it Hurt?
We make sure you’re completely comfortable by applying numbing your skin with a topical anesthetic before beginning the treatment. You will feel a warm sensation during the treatment, but it’s not uncomfortable. After the treatment, your skin may have a pinkish tone for about 5 days. The precise pulse delivery of fractional laser technology lowers the risk of any side effects or thermal damage, and your recovery time is much faster!
How Often Should I Get This Service?
You will see great results after just one treatment, with improvements continuing over the next 6 months as new collagen forms. We do recommend a series of treatments spaced 3-6 weeks apart to achieve the results you really want.
